Ric’s high-resolution streaming video classes will offer a combination of established audio theory with tips and techniques to show students how to get professional results using RØDE’s range of broadcast microphones and accessories.

The first module, titled “Location Sound Recording: The NTG-3”, is available now on www.rodeuniversity.com. Join Ric as he covers a range of tips and techniques for capturing dialogue when filming on location, both indoors and out.

“I’ve used RØDE Microphones to record literally tens of thousands of sound effects, not to mention voice overs and dialogue for location sound.” commented Ric. “I’m jazzed to be hosting the next semester of RØDE University which will include tons of RØDE mics, lots of industry tips, and of course, a little Detroit Rock and Roll.”

The original semester of instrument and vocal recording techniques is still available for students just joining RØDE Uni, or for graduated students who wish to brush up on their knowledge.

PowerProduction Software is celebrating over a decade of creating storyboard software for the HollywoodPPLogo production community. Our co-founders are graduates of USC School of Cinematic Arts and have worked extensively in the media field: from broadcast television, commercial production, feature and indie filmmaking and now digital media. The rest of our company's partners/staff are all immersed in media production of all kinds. Our philosophy on budgeting and storyboard software design is to make the software do what YOU need it to do, not make you bend to what the software wants to do. Make sense? It would, if you've had to learn to use programs that have been created by programmers who know what computers can do, but know nothing about how creatives work.
