Have you developed engaging, insightful lesson plans for your TV Production or Broadcast Journalism classes?

Are you using curriculum that you developed just for your program? Out of necessity have you created your own presentations, quizzes, tests and exercises for the students?

If you have answered YES to any of these questions, School Video News wants to hear from you. We are developing a new resource: SVN TV SKILLS that will include lesson plans, full curriculum, video, forms, and supplemental content: everything you might need to teach Basic TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, Writing, Graphics, and over time, much more.

The content will be modular, so that you can use what you need when you need it. Our goal is to provide you with a variety of content which will enable you to create your own program, specifically tailored to your needs.

If you have material that you would like to share with other educators, please contact us at [email protected]

Our target publication date is April 1st, 2014 and the first three modules are under development now: TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, and Creative Scriptwriting. Let us hear from you at your earliest convenience.

We are also looking for student-created videos to accompany some of the lessons.Take a look at this excellent tutorial by the students at the Fairfax (VA) Academy on Cable Coiling. For a list of recommended topics, please contact us.
