An annual media/informational event for high school students enrolled and/or interested in the Audio/Video Technology and Film Programs throughout the state of Georgia.
Back for what should prove another successful year, the Media Education Foundation of Georgia presents the 2nd Student Media Day. It will be held once again at the Georgia Technical Reserch Institute Conference Center in midtown Atlanta near Atlantic Station. The event was incredibly well received in 2014 with nearly one hundred high school students from around the state in attendance. We expect to more than double those numbers this year.
Improvements have been made to better allow the attending students to experience all the event has to offer in a shorter amount of time. As before, there will be presentations by industry professionals, mentoring sessions and studio tours. We're excited to include workshops/sessions exclusively for the teachers this year.
NATAS Southeast (SE EMmys) is sponsoring the mentor sessions and Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB), the studio tours. Sponsorships will aid in the transportation costs and providing interpreters for hearing impaired and EASL Students
