Introducing SVN-TV

SVNResizeYour newest source for video tutorials for your class with over 60 available for personal or class use. As a result of the increasing numbers of viewers and the positive responses to the video section of School Video News, we are pleased to announce the launch of SVN-TV, the video partner of our monthly eMagazine. You can visit SVN-TV by clicking on the menu button on the home page above, or go directly to www.svntv.com.

One of our major objectives is to be a “library” of how-to, tutorial, and instructional videos. These are suitable for your own reference or in your classes. Students may view them without being a registered member. These short, informative videos are from recognized industry experts such as VideoMaker Magazine, Digital Juice, PrompterPeople, Soundzabound, and many others. Click here to see the list of the more than 60 videos that fall under the TUTORIAL category. More, including student-produced videos such as Fairfax Academy’s Cable Coiling, are being added regularly.

In addition to content we add for your viewing pleasure, we can now offer you the ability to upload the videos that you and your students create. Like other sites you use, you may be assured that we are fully moderated and each video will be screened before being made public. Simply register then click on the UPLOAD menu tab and share the video wealth!

As always, we will feature videos from various SkillsUSA events such as state conferences and the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Competition. You can also see the students who competed in the Broadcast News and TV Production Competitions.

Watch for two fun contest this next school year: A LipDub competition and as mentioned above, instructional videos by students, FOR students on TV production topics. More on both these in future issues of School Video News and SVN-TV.
