SPAErinIt was not until I stood at that podium collecting my awards for Talent and Arts and Entertainment that I began to realize that I had a new confidence- a new fire in my belly. It was not until I chatted with numerous professionals in the industry that I began to realize how lucky I was to be so sure of my ambitions because my dreams only gave me a jumpstart on this wild journey. And finally, it was not until I listened to student after student speak so eloquently about a common passion that I began to realize I was not alone.

-Erin Valle, SouthEast Emmy SPA Winner

Want tips to make your future videos better? Each entry receives feedback from industry professionals associated with the most recognizable name in television excellence.

If you love being in front of or behind the camera, don’t miss this exciting opportunity to be in the spotlight. High school broadcasting and video production students are eligible to apply. College students have their own awards and scholarship events to which they may submit entries. See your local chapter for details.

This award endorsed my skills, allowing me to confidently go after some of the most competitive internships and jobs in theBianca03 375 industry. Without this award, I was merely a student who had some videos under belt and knew how to produce a newscast. With this award, though, I am a competitive player in the battle for ever-fleeting journalism jobs.

- Bianca Hillier, Ohio Valley College Scholarship Winner
